ROBERT E. LARSEN

Robert E. Larsen

Robert joined Abrahamson Law Office in 2025 and is licensed to practice law in both Nebraska and Iowa. He is a native of Papillion, Nebraska. Robert graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2018, having majored in political science with minors in business, history, and human rights. He then went straight into law school, graduating from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2021.

After law school, Robert worked both as a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney and as a public defender before joining the team at Abrahamson Law Office. His primary areas of practice include family law (divorces, modifications, and custody), criminal defense, and plaintiff’s personal injury law. He also practices in juvenile law and has a niche interest in protection order cases. Robert has also represented tenants facing eviction and helped debtors work out reasonable settlements with their debt collectors. Robert accepts court-appointments as defense counsel in criminal cases and in juvenile cases, both as a guardian ad litem and attorney for parents or children, in multiple counties.

Robert has practiced in several counties in both Nebraska and Iowa and has become familiar with the important differences that can come into play depending what county your case is in. As your attorney, Robert understands that his job is to help you navigate the often-confusing world of legal proceedings, communicate clearly and honestly, and work to ensure you get the best possible representation and results he can.

Outside of work, Robert is involved in multiple community organizations, including the Papillion Area Historical Society, where he has served as treasurer since 2021, and the Papillion Area Community Band, where he has played clarinet since 2022 and been a member of the Board since 2025. Taking advice he got from his grandma to live life while you’re young to heart, he tries to make traveling and saying yes to new people, places, and things a priority. Robert also enjoys playing tennis whenever possible.

Robert lives with his cat, Eleanor, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, in one of his favorite places, the small, then-new house his grandparents first purchased in 1958.
